This Privacy Policy explains how Outlaw Developments (Pty) Ltd t/a Outlaw Golf Carts collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. By using our website, purchasing goods or services from us, or otherwise engaging with Outlaw Developments, you consent to the processing of your personal information as described in this Policy.
1. Responsible party
Outlaw Developments is the “responsible party” as defined in POPIA in respect of the personal information it collects and processes.

- Identifying information: name, ID/passport number, contact details, physical and billing/delivery address
- Transaction information: purchase history, quotations, invoices, payment and banking details necessary to process a sale
- Vehicle/build information: specifications, service history and configuration of golf carts purchased, built or serviced by us

- Communications: correspondence, enquiries and support requests
3. Purpose of processing
We process personal information to: conclude and perform sale, build and service agreements; process payments and manage accounts; deliver and install goods; provide after-sales support and warranty services; comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations; communicate with you regarding your order, account or enquiries; and, where you have consented, to send you marketing communications.
4. Lawful basis for processing
We process personal information on one or more of the following bases recognised under POPIA: your consent; the necessity of processing to conclude or perform a contract with you; compliance with a legal obligation; and our legitimate business interests, provided these do not override your rights.
5. Direct marketing
In accordance with section 69 of POPIA, we will only send direct marketing communications with your consent, or where you are an existing customer and the marketing relates to similar products or services, subject always to your right to opt out at any time free of charge.
6. Sharing of information
We may share personal information with employees, sub-contractors, referring partners, delivery/logistics providers, payment processors, and professional advisors, strictly as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
7. Cross-border transfers
Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa (for example, to a cloud service provider), we will ensure the recipient is subject to a level of data protection substantially similar to POPIA, or that another lawful basis under section 72 of POPIA applies.
8. Security safeguards
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, and unlawful processing, as required by section 19 of POPIA.
9. Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (including tax, warranty and consumer protection record-keeping obligations).
10. Your rights
Subject to POPIA, you have the right to: be notified that your information is being collected; access your personal information; request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant or unlawfully obtained information; object to processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

11. Children’s information
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a competent person, as required by section 34 of POPIA.
12. Changes to this Policy
Outlaw Developments may update this Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We are not obliged to notify individual users of such changes; the current version published on our website at all times governs our processing of personal information.
